Description
1 1/4" Minus Crushed Basalt is crushed from 1 1/4" to 0". It has the fines for compaction which means it will pack in, though not as tight as the 3/4" Minus since it is larger. The 1 1/4" Minus Basalt is good in softer areas where smaller material may disappear into the muck, or for parking areas for large vehicles, like RVs and dump trucks, which tend to push and break down smaller material. This product is imported from farther away than the local 1 1/4" Minus Basalt because it is a higher quality material. Due to the fact that it holds less water it performs very well in tailgate spreads, even during the fall and winter seasons when many products tend to hold water and clump up. It is also typically darker in color than the local basalt, though both can vary from load to load.
