Description
Quality Rockery is the only dark basalt rockery we carry. It is dark grey to black in color. It tends to be softer than our other varieties of rockery rock, though it is not as soft as some more locally available basalt rockeries. It is a more affordable option for a rock wall, though it is not sorted like the other varieties and will have one and two man all together in one pile.
As with any rockery rock, before purchasing you will want to stop by the yard and make sure to look at the rock in person. It can be surprising how big 'One Man' can be. One man does not necessarily mean that one man can lift it, and all quarries sort the rock a bit differently.
Size Guidelines
One Man Rock weighs approx. 20 - 240 lbs each.
Two Man Rock weighs approx. 150-750 lbs each.
Three Man Rock weighs approx. 750-3500 lbs each.
Coverage
One Man Rock = 15 sq ft per ton.
Two Man Rock = 12 sq ft per ton.
Three Man Rock = 9 sq ft per ton.
