Small Nugget Bark
Description
Small Nugget Bark is a fir and hemlock bark. It is very coarse, or chunky in consistency with pieces ranging in size from roughly 1 to 2 inches. It is red to brown in color.
Using bark mulch as a ground cover helps suppress weed growth and retain soil moisture. Typical installation involves a layer of bark 2 - 4" thick that will need to be replenished about once a year. Be sure when laying bark to pull the material back from the stalks of your shrubs and plants to allow air flow and prevent rotting.
