Dark Fine Bark

Description
Dark Fine Bark is a douglas fir and hemlock bark, commonly referred to as a double-grind that is fine in consistency without many chunks or pieces. It is a dark reddish-brown in color and of a similar grind and consistency as Fine Bark, but has been aged to have a darker color.
Using bark mulch as a ground cover helps suppress weed growth and retain soil moisture. Typical installation involves a layer of bark 2 - 4" thick that will need to be replenished about once a year. Be sure when laying bark to pull the material back from the stalks of your shrubs and plants to allow air flow and prevent rotting.
Common Uses:
- Flower Beds
- Groundcover
- Mulch
