3/8" Minus Crushed Basalt has fines for compaction and is dark gray in color, sometimes with reds or whites. It is an inexpensive construction-grade material that can be used in place of pitrun when building up roadbeds, or on utility paths where function and price is more important than aesthetics. This material is not appropriate for driveway top-course because it tends to get soft under heavy vehicle traffic.
