3/4" Minus Black

Description
3/4" Minus Crushed Black is a crushed basalt rock. It is crushed from 3/4" down to 0", allowing the fines to help it pack down. This product is imported from farther away than the local 3/4" Minus Basalt because it is typically darker in color than the local basalt, though both can vary from load to load.
Since basalt is a blasted rock that contains no round edges it will pack better than an aggregate rock will. This makes it better suited for steep driveways where compaction is key. Spreading basalt during the wet months can be difficult because it doesn't drain as well as an aggregate would.
Common Uses:
- Driveways
- Easements
- Parking Areas
