Description

Mini Nugget Bark is a fir and hemlock bark. It is coarse, or chunky, in consistency with pieces ranging in size from roughly 3/8 to 1 inch. It is red to brown in color.

Using bark mulch as a ground cover helps suppress weed growth and retain soil moisture. Typical installation involves a layer of bark 2 - 4" thick that will need to be replenished about once a year. Be sure when laying bark to pull the material back from the stalks of your shrubs and plants to allow air flow and prevent rotting.
