Oly Mountain Organic Compost is created by composting brush and yard debris in Mason County. During the composting process, the material is heated to kill off any weed seed or bacteria. The breakdown of these components during the heating process improves your soil by adding microbes, nutrients, trace minerals, and organic matter. It can be used as a ground cover, mulch, or tilled into your existing soil. This product is Certified Organic.
Due to the nature of the composting process it is not uncommon to find bits of paper or plastic in composts. This is due to contaminated materials being turned in for recycling. All efforts are made to keep the material as clean as possible and the materials are regularly tested to make sure they meet state organic compost regulations.
